After much demand Sprint has quietly added an IM app to their Digital Lounge for the Instinct. I was digging through the Sprint site when I found OZ Communications Inc in the Digital Lounge under: “They’re Free> Instant Messaging” or just search for “Messaging”
On your phone “Shopping > Applications > Chat & Messaging > IM & Email > Instant Messaging > Download”
Works perfectly with the Instinct for AOL, MSN and Yahoo. I have more than 175 contacts on MSN and it had no trouble with the list. It will even allow you to “Exit” but stay signed giving you alerts when you get messages.
Thank you Sprint for finally giving us this much needed feature!
